Dr. Temple Grandin
The Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival and Short Film Competition, now in its 9th season, is the first and longest-running disability film festival in the State of Texas. It is acknowledged as Texas' top film celebration of disability in the arts. Sold out theaters embrace the latest animated, international, and documentary short films in the world at Cinema Touching Disability. CTD Film Festival is recognized by the Austin Mayor's Committee on People with Disabilities, Texas Film Commission, Austin Film Society, Barbara Jordan Media Awards and many more.
Cinema Touching Disability often includes both live and skype interviews with filmmakers, acting subjects and writers providing audiences the opportunity to engage and gaze into these creative minds. The most recent CTD festival interviews and guests have included Dr. Temple Grandin, (the subject of HBO’s Temple Grandin) , Dave Alan Johnson (Sue Thomas F.B.Eye creator), Monica and David Martinez , and director Alexandra Codina (HBO documentary Monica &David).
Who is the CTD?
The Coalition of Texans with Disabilities (CTD) is a statewide disability advocacy non-profit organization formed in 1978 to promote the rights of all Texans with disabilities. The CTD is a coalition that is continuing to work to break down the barriers to full inclusion in all aspects of society.
